Care & Maintenance for all TMF Products
Gloss Finishes
To clean your new Marble Factory product use a non-abrasive mild soap with a soft cloth. We suggest Windex or Mr. Clean Gel properly clean your new product’s surface. Check for the ‘corrosive hand’ symbol on the bottle before using.
- We recommend Using Gel GlossTM which can be purchased at any Home Depot stores as a weekly maintenance to give you the high-gloss finish and prolong the life of your product.
- Dull areas or light scratches may be removed by using an automotive rubbing compound or scratch remover followed by an application of Gel GlossTM.
- To remove chips and gouges; We recommend that you contact a qualified service repair person
- . Accidental damages, negligence, alteration, abuse or misuse is not covered by the warranty.
- Products such as iodine, nail polish, nail polish remover, hair dye, shoe polish, aftershave, and cologne should be removed immediately. NEVER! place a hot curling iron directly on an engineered stone surface as it will damage the finish and discolour the surface.
- Never use anything abrasive to clean your Gloss finished TMF products.
Matte finishes
To Clean our Marble Factory finish product, an abrasive cleaner is recommended such as; Comet, or Vim.
Important Information
Excessive heat or drastic alterations in water temperature can lead to premature wear in engineered marble, granite, and onyx. To ensure longevity of the product, ensure that hot water temperatures are within new home standards and do not exceed 140°F. Avoid drastic changes in water temperature by mixing hot and cold water.
Bathtubs
- General cleaning is the same as above. However, there is a little extra maintenance that goes into caring for your tub if you purchased a jetted system. We recommend that the jet system be cleaned after every ten uses:
- Fill the tub with warm water to cover the highest jet. Close air controls. Add two teaspoonfuls of dishwasher detergent to the tub and run the system for fifteen minutes. Drain tub. Refill with warm water and run the system for another fifteen minutes to flush out the remaining cleaning products. Dry with a soft cloth. If the jet system is not maintained, dirt and soap residue may form stains beneath the jets. FITTINGS: Plastic fittings require no extra care. Metal fittings may be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild liquid detergent; abrasive cleaners should not be used as they may scratch the surface.
